Activities Around Columbus

We appreciate everyone traveling from near and far to be with us on our special day! If you have extra time or energy, and feel like exploring what Columbus has to offer, here are a few suggestions of things to do.

For those who prefer to be outside...

OHIO STATE vs TEXAS

On August 30th, 2025 THE Ohio State Buckeyes will take on the Texas Longhorns at Ohio Stadium. This is an open air stadium for avid college football fans. If interested make sure to get your tickets early.

Golf

Ohio has plenty of golf courses around and Columbus is no exception. There are plenty of courses ranging in level and cost if you have a few hours to spend. Some notable courses include: Safari Golf Club, Cumberland Trail Golf Club, Glenross Golf Club, and the Golf Club of Dublin.

Metroparks

If a walk or hike outside speaks to you, then Columbus has plenty of well-maintained metro parks to explore while waiting for the ceremony and reception.

For those who appreciate a climate-controlled environment...

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

This is an indoor-outdoor stop and home to over 7,000 animals representing 800 species. If you feel like seeing non-native creatures in a land-locked state the aquarium and zoo is a good place to spend a couple hours.

Columbus Museum of Art

Formed in 1878, this museum collects and exhibits American and European modern and contemporary art, folk art, glass art, and photography. This includes work done by Picasso, Monet, and many other late nineteenth and twentieth century artists.

Restaurants and Breweries

Columbus offers a wide selection of restaurants and breweries for any appetite. Ranging from rooftop bars to gastropubs some of our favorite spots are Harvest Pizza and Hubbard Grill.
